Linda W. Anderson is the high school 2014-2015 Caddo Schools Counselor of the Year, says Joyce Lars.
“In addition to her many duties, the Mrs Anderson is also a student advocate, community leader, and one who collaborates with teachers, parents and the community to promote the academic success of each and every student. High school counselors advise students making academic and career plans. Many help students with personal problems that interfere with their education. Counselors provide information about choosing and applying for colleges or training programs and financial aid or scholarships. They help students develop job search skills, such as writing resumes and interviewing,” added Lars.
Mrs. Anderson is an alum of Huntington High School, Shreveport, Class of ’77.
