Advanced Concert Band is open to students grades 10-12 who are accomplished as performers on band instruments including flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.  Students develop skills necessary to perform challenging music at a high level of proficiency while learning to experience and express the aesthetic qualities of music.  Public performances are given throughout the year, both in and out of the normal hours of the school day.  Students are afforded the opportunity to audition for District VIII Honor Bands and All-State Bands and are encouraged to participate in these enrichment activities.

Intermediate Band is comprised of ninth grade students who play band instruments including flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.  Development of basic performance skills is emphasized, including work with scales and etudes in a variety of styles.  Students work to grow ensemble skills pertaining to tone, pitch, and rhythm while learning to play together in real-time with other musicians.  Public performances are given throughout the year, and students are offered the opportunity to audition for District VIII Honor Bands and All-State Bands and are encouraged to participate in these enrichment activities.
