In 2019, the International Thespian Society (ITS) is marking the 90th anniversary of its founding. ITS is an honors society that celebrates the power of theatre education to instill confidence, empathy, and compassion to build better communities.
ITS now counts more than 2.4 million theatre students who have been honored.
Caddo Magnet’s drama students have been active in ITS for many years traveling yearly to State and National Festivals. For the last 10 years, yearly each of our graduating theatre students average $750,000 in college scholarship offers.
Our alumni have graduated from The University of Oklahoma, Howard University, Texas Christian University and prestigious conservatories like CAP 21; The Academy of Dramatic Arts in both Los Angeles and NYC and The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, to name a few.
Some of these alumni have gone on to graduate from Law School (11 and counting) and have successful law careers while others have taken the plunge and are working actors in Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D. C. and Dallas.

Isaac Haas (2011) – Graduate of CAP21 has been in two national tours (Once and Cabaret) and been the lead in new musicals and cast albums (Peace, Love and Cupcakes the Musical and The Legend of Jim Cullen).
Madison Edwards (2011) – Graduate of OU – now lives in NYC and recently played Hamlet in Hamlet Off-Broadway

Joe Bills (2014) Graduated AADA – Set Design; Assistant Director: Loft Ensemble in Sherman Oaks, CA
Austin Watkins (2014) Graduated Oklahoma City University; danced professionally every summer of his college. Attending graduate school at the prestigious UCD in Dublin for a degree in programming in arts.
Nia Savoy (2014) – Graduate of Howard University Cum Laude, Currently starring in Day of Absence with The Theatre Alliance at The Anacosta Playhouse, Washington, D. C.
Nia sang with the American Pop Orchestra (2018) as a finalist in thier NextGen: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow. Also in Washington D. C. in the last four years she has been in the professional companies of: Grease, Mamma Mia – Toby’s Dinner Theatre; The Color Purple (Shug Avery) at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts; Aida (Amneris) at Constellation Theatre Company.
She was the Inspirational Award Winner in the Michael Feinstein American Songbook.
She sang for President Obama at the Kennedy Center Honors (2015)
while at Howard she starred in Sarafina and Ain’t Misbehavin’
Ridley Walker (2016) Light Design, UNC School of the Arts, lives in NYC; just worked with the designer of Wicked.
