Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society with 124,000 student members in 2,633 schools int eh United States and 23 foreign countries. This organization is dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.
At Caddo Magnet High, Mu Alpha Theta members participate in the American Scholastic Mathematics Association’s six monthly competitions from October through March of the current academic year. Members are required to attempt four of the six competitions and maintain a 3.5 grade point average in order to maintain active status in Magnet High’s Mu Alpha Theta Chapter.
