The TAP Vocal Band at Caddo Parish Magnet High School is a part of the Talented Arts Program in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.  Under the direction of Trey Jackson, these talented high schoolers create mash-ups and medleys, arrange full-length songs, and even write their own music.  The group has competed in competitions at Universal Studios and Disney World in Florida, toured Memphis, competed in Nashville, and has won first place at each destination, so far, in their A Cappella Division. They have also competed in the Shreveport SING OUT competition on the stage of the beautiful Strand Theater in Downtown Shreveport and won first place and $1000 to go towards the Band’s needs.

With two Concerts scheduled during the year, performances at Christmas Parties, Mardi Gras Balls and Parades, Spirit Rallies, Stress Relief Picnics, Tailgates, and various other engagements, The Caddo Magnet TAP Vocal Band is a performance group of distinction.

Along with the rigor of Caddo Magnet classes on any given day, The Caddo Magnet Talented Arts Vocal Band is fun, rewarding, stress relieving, and just happens to be an Honors course through which our students can also become a part of the Modern Music Masters Honor Society (TRI-M). TAP Vocal strives to teach music along with real world life lessons through team building and Magnet Family fun.

Mr. Jackson (TAP Vocal) and Mrs. Jackson (CMHS Choir) work closely with one another in ensuring that our students are prepared for the next level of Music education and help prepare them for college auditions in securing scholarships for Collegiate Music Programs.
