Senior Maya Trutschl has been named a Regeneron Top 300 Scholar! Maya is the only student in Louisiana to be named. Almost 3,000 students applied this year, a number that hasn’t been seen since 1967. Maya will receive a $2,000 prize and CMHS will also receive $2,000 to use toward STEM education.Maya’s project was titled, “Automated Prediction and Prevention of Pressure Injuries Using Machine Learning and Thermal Sensing: A Clinical Validation Study.” Maya is now competing to be named a Top 40 Scholar with an opportunity to receive $25,000.
