Once again the Boys Gymnastics season came to a victorious end. On Friday, April 30th, the Boys and Girls LHSAA State Championship was held at Baton Rouge High. The boys level 5 team did an outstanding job and won 1st place in that Division II (Caddo Magnet scored 189 and Baton Rouge scored 171.60). We also won 2nd place in the overall team division. This year there were total 24 competitors and I want to acknowledge the top 10 for their hard work and team effort.
Eddie Williams – 1st place All Around State champion (63.6 score), 1st place floor, 1st place rings, 1st place p-bars, 1st place high bar, 3rd place pommel and 3rd place vault.
Armonte Turner – 2nd place All Around (61.6 score), 1st place pommel, 2nd place high bar, 3rd place floor and 3rd place p-bars.
Chris Ritch – 3rd place All Around (60.0 score), 2nd place pommel and 3rd place high bar.
Jacob Nixon – 5th place All Around (56.5 score)
Robby Latour – 8th place All Around, 3rd place rings
Chris Davis – 9th place All Around, 1st place vault, 2nd place floor
Alex McDonald – 10th place All Around
Jesse Hylan – 5th place rings
