Colleges may have specific scholarships applicable to you. Also: Many scholarships require letters of recommendation from your teacher, counselor or principal. MOREHEAD-CAIN SCHOLARS PROGRAM – UNC CHAPEL HILL Seniors interested in the 2014-15 Morehead-Cain Scholars Program must turn in a copy of their Resume to Mrs. Anderson by September 24th. Interested students must meet eligibility requirements: A student must be a competitive applicant to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and on track to graduate in the spring. The nominee must demonstrate the following Morehead-Cain Criteria: a) Scholarship b) Leadership c) Moral Force of Character and d) Physical Vigor. ELKS STUDENT OF THE MONTH SCHOLARSHIP Each month a $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding senior boy and senior girl who demonstrate exemplary standards. Students should be well-rounded with leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship qualities. Students will compete against other high school students in Caddo-Bossier area. MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY Scholars Recognition Day is for high school seniors who have a composite ACT score of 29 or higher. This is an invitation only event and there is no charge for guests. ROBINSON FILM CENTER Teen Film Council The Teen Film Council is a group of 20 students from Caddo and Bossier parishes, grades 10-12. They are looking for students who love movies. Some of our students want to pursue filmmaking as a career, and others who are just interested in learning more about film. Applications are available on C-Wing and the Counseling Department.
