 Seniors interested in the 2014-15 Morehead-Cain Scholars Program must turn in a copy of their Resume to Mrs. Anderson by September 24th.     Interested students must meet eligibility requirements:  A student must be a competitive applicant to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and on track to graduate in the spring.  The nominee must demonstrate the following Morehead-Cain Criteria: a) Scholarship  b) Leadership  c) Moral Force of Character and d) Physical Vigor. LELA (Louisiana Education Loan Authority) Holiday Art Contest!  This year’s theme is:  Christmas in My Hometown. Original Photography, Pen, Pencil, Water Color, Crayon, Charcoal and more accepted.  ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS The ENF awards $2.44 million annually in MVS (Most Valuable Student) scholarships to 500 high school seniors nationwide. Eligibility: Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply for an MVS scholarship. Applications will be judged on: Scholarship, Leadership and Financial Need. ELKS STUDENT OF THE MONTH SCHOLARSHIP Each month a $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding senior boy and senior girl who demonstrate exemplary standards. Students should be well-rounded with leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship qualities. Students will compete against other high school students in Caddo-Bossier area. See Mrs. Moore for an application. Applications are being accepted for the months of Sept. and October. The Elks Lodge must receive applications by the 10th of each month

College Night 2015 will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the PAC.   Parents and students are encouraged to attend. Branches of the military and representatives from local, state, and out-of-state colleges and universities will be on site. October 15, 2015

The Levine Scholars Program seeks exceptional high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard. Qualified students must see Mrs. Anderson for nomination.   Levine Scholars receive: 

●   An award for four years of tuition, room, board and mandatory fees

●   A grant to implement a service project of their own design

●   Four summers of experiences including study abroad

●   An undergraduate experience they will cherish for a lifetime
