Girls Gymnastics Win 3rd Consecutive State Championship

The 2016 LHSAA State Gymnastics Championship was filled with nothing but fun and excitement. This year we had 168 competitors from 31 schools represented at the competition—the largest since 1995. Congratulations to the girls team for being the 2016 State Champions! This is the third consecutive year the girls have earned the title!

Level 3 Girls (62 competitors) – Division III State Champions
Cassidy Cason place 1st on Beam, 5th on Bars and 4th in the all-around
Allison Clark placed 2nd on Bars and 7th in the all-around
Rona Zibari placed 4th on Beam and 8th in the all-around
Erin Brown placed 3rd on Vault
Caroline Canatella placed 6th on Vault

Level 4 Girls (39 competitors) – Division II State Runner Up
Mia Cook placed 3rd on Bars
Morgan Graves placed 6th on Beam
Meghan Fry placed 2nd on Vault

Level 8 Girls (32 competitors)
Cara Armstrong placed 4th on Vault, 4th on Beam, 4th on Floor and 4th in the all-around
