Each year, the George Rodrigue Foundation for the Arts grants monetary scholarships through an annual visual arts and songwriting competition. The theme for this year’s contest was Louisiana’s Culinary Heritage. Out of the 10 statewide finalists, 4 were Magnet students! Swipe to see the artworks from each of these talented students.

In the senior division: 2nd place Lily Ni, 5th place GraceAnne Hodgson
Junior division: 2nd place Anna Miley, 3rd place Emma Jackson.

In addition to their scholarship awards, the students will have their artwork featured in the Rodrigue Foundation’s new cookbook: “The Pot and the Palette Cookbook II”. The book will feature recipes from Louisiana chefs, musicians, and local celebrities. The cookbook will debut in Fall 2022.
