2025 High School Voter Registration Drive

The JROTC department will host a voter registration drive. We will have a table in front of the JROTC department every day from April 10 to 28, 2025. We are asking all students who will turn 18 before October 31, 2025, to stop by during lunch to register to vote. Cadets will be present at the table to assist you with filling out the form.

April 25, 2025

On this day in history, April 25, 1950, Charles “Chuck” Cooper became the first African American selected in the NBA draft, breaking the NBA’s color barrier. Cooper was an All-American forward from Duquesne University and was chosen by the Boston Celtics as the first pick of the second round of the draft. The selection of Cooper in this draft revolutionized the NBA as a whole, making a way for many African American men to make a name for themselves in the NBA.
