The 2014-2015 boys and girls soccer teams were selected for the High School Academic Award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. There were 146 boys soccer teams and 244 girls soccer teams chosen across the country. Caddo Magnet was one of only 49 schools that had both boys and girls teams selected. Congratulations!

Fifteen schools competed in the first swim meet at Centenary College on Saturday. Overall, Caddo Magnet placed 4th and eight of our swimmers qualified for the LHSAA State Competition in November. Congratulations swimmers! Ruth Bodily, Halie Morgan, Macayla Ramoz, Robert Brown, Ian Gonzales, Andrew McDonald, Campbell Siskron, Thomas Siskron.

The Student Council Fall Membership Drive has started, and it will end on Thursday, October 8, at 4 p.m. If you are interested, go to www.chmsstuco.com for an application. This drive is only open to freshmen and transfer students.

The Men’s Soccer tryouts will be held at Magnet’s track, Oct. 26, 27 and 28, from 4-5:30 p.m. For more information, contact Nick Flowers at 318-510-1811.
