Congratulations to the girls and boys gymnastics teams! The girls won the State Championship for the third consecutive year, and the boys placed as the State Runner-up! Please see the school website on Tuesday for individual team member performance statistics. Coach Julie Anderson

Congratulations to Kashyap Kohl for being selected as the MVP of the Caddo Magnet Academic Decathlon Team! Kash was the high scorer for the team in Anchorage, Alaska and won a $500 scholarship. He also won a gold medal in the interview competition, as he represented the State of Louisiana in the National Academic Decathlon Tournament. Next year’s theme for Academic Decathlon is World War II. Students may take this course as an enriched elective class in the library at any period during the day, or they may study and compete on their own. Interested students should see Mrs. Gilchrist in the library to fill out an information sheet. We need students at all GPA levels to form a team or teams. The initial fee is $75 for materials.

Congratulations to our new officers!

CMHS Robotics Team 2 placed 2nd in the 3rd Regional Autonomous Robotics Circuit Competition held on April 30. Congratulations to Rebecca Burnett, Hayley Owens, Katelyn Dupont, Ty Goff, and Wyatt Lott!

The combined robotics teams accumulated enough points to place 2nd overall for the season and were awarded a prize of $750. Team members are Rebecca Burnett, Hayley Owens, Katelyn Dupont, Ty Goff, Wyatt Lott, Margaret McNew, Claire Harding, Dakota Simpson, and Sunjay Letchuman.
