Caddo Magnet is proud to announce that Caretia Washington was selected as one of the six finalists in the

2016 Louisiana Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS). She is a participant in the Science and

Medicine Academic Research Training Program sponsored by the Biomedical Research Foundation of

Northwest Louisiana and University Health in Shreveport. Congratulations, Caretia!

 

Sarah Lord and Amir Kaskas will represent Caddo Magnet High at the city competition for Poetry Out

Loud, on Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 at the Norton Art Gallery. Congratulations!

 

Coffeehouse auditions will be February 1-5, before school and during lunch shifts in Mrs. Morehead’s

room, C-1.  Participant forms and guidelines are on the C-1 door. Coffeehouse will be February 19-20.

 

Yearbook pre-orders will be taken during both lunches Jan. 25-29, outside the cafeteria. The price is $60.

Club picture day will be February 3. Schedules have been given to teachers. If you are in a club, please get

permission from your teacher to go to the PAC at the appropriate time. You will not be called out of class.

Yearbook picture retakes will be February 10, after the registration assemblies. There is a list posted

outside of Mrs. Youngblood’s room (E-106) of the students who need to retake their pictures.

 

We have information on driver’s education classes being offered this spring. They are not on the Caddo

Magnet campus, but they are at Byrd, Northwood, Southwood, Huntington, Captain Shreve, and at the

School Board office on Midway Street. The cost is $400.

 

Do you want to go to Italy and Greece summer of 2017? There is a $200 discount through January and a
