Congratulations to Caddo Magnet’s Mock Trial teams for their wins in last weekend’s Regional Mock Trial Championship. Team 1 placed 1st, and Team 2 placed 3rd. Team 1 will now travel in March to Baton Rouge for the State Competition. Team 1 members include Mary Cash, Ankur Khanna, Sunjay Letchuman, Shawnteau Ranglin, Geoffrey Vickers, Shubhneet Warar, and Akeylah Wellington.

 

The Spring Dance will be held this Friday, February 26, from 6 – 9 p.m. in the Caddo Magnet gym. The theme for the dance is “Glow in the Dark.” Tickets are $5 per person and will be sold starting Monday on the D-wing hallway during lunch. All tickets are pre-sale only. No tickets will be sold at the door the night of the dance. Off campus dates are allowed, but a photocopy of their school ID or driver’s license must be presented before a ticket will be sold to you. Also, students must not owe any debts to the school to be eligible to purchase a ticket.

 

Students may register for the 2016 Advanced Placement Exams February 22-March 4, through their AP classes. The fee for each exam is $92. Students who meet eligibility requirements may request a fee reduction. First-time AP testers will have $55 of their fee for ONE exam waived resulting in an exam fee of $37. Pick up registration forms from your AP teachers.

 

CLEP exams will be administered in late April for these courses: English III/IV-H, GT, Algebra II-H, Pre-calculus, Advanced Math, American history E/GT, French/German/Spanish, level 3, and Chemistry-H. The cost for each exam is $80. First-time CLEP test takers will be reimbursed for one exam (11th/12th graders).   Students who are interested may pick up a registration form from your teacher February 22-March 4. Please announce to your students if you teach any of the courses listed.
