Congratulations to Matthew Pozniak and Rebecca Burnett! They were chosen to represent Magnet at the Hugh

O’ Brian Youth Leadership Conference, which will be held this summer in Baton Rouge.

Congratulations to the Caddo Magnet Wrestling Team! They defeated Northwood 42-30 and defeated Huntington

On November 20-21, nine Magnet swimmers competed in the 2015 LHSAA State Swim Competition. The boys

th of 20 teams, and the girls placed 12th of 17 teams. Combined our teams placed 6th overall.

Congratulations swimmers! Ruth Bodily, Halie Morgan, Macayla Ramoz, Maureen Shacklette, Robert Brown,

Ian Gonzales, Andrew McDonald, Campbell Siskron and Thomas Siskron.

Spring semester Dual Enrollment applications for LSUS and NSU will be distributed through the dual enrollment

classes December 7-10. Please see Mrs. Snyder or your counselor for more information.

LSUS – tuition-$150.00 per 3-hour course NSU – tuition and fees waived if student meets requirements

The following CLEP exams will be offered at the end of the fall semester: College Composition, College Algebra,

College Mathematics, or History of the U.S. If you are interested in taking one of these exams, please meet in C-8

during Activity Period on Wednesday, December 9, for more information. Additional CLEP exams will be given

in late April or May. The fee is $80 per exam. If you are enrolled in a dual enrollment or AP course, do not

register for the CLEP exam for the same class.

Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet will present The Nutcracker on Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. and Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. at the

Riverview Theatre. This year over half of the soloist/principal/divertissement roles will be danced by Magnet

students. Congratulations to Alicia Edwards, Ali Zagzoug, Kirsten Nash, Madison Graves, Sarah Kate

Roblow, and Victoria Whaley for earning these coveted dancing roles!

Attention students who like to write: Please place poems that you would like to submit to be published in this

year’s Sampler in the folder on Mrs. Morehead’s door – C-1. The deadline is Friday, December 18.

Interested in participating in spring competitive sports of track, softball or golf? Complete the athletic packet

( under athletics) and turn it in to Ms. Addington by January 5, 2016. If you have already

completed the packet because you are already in another sport, check the bulletin board by C-12 on January 11, to

see if you are eligible. If you do not see your name posted, see Ms. Addington.

Girls Lacrosse is having a fundraiser at Newks on Youree Drive on December 8, from 5-8:00 p.m. and Twisted

Root on December 16, from 4:00 till closing. Please come by and support your Girls’ Lacrosse team!

Tennis practice for the month of December has been cancelled. Listen for Ms. Addington’s announcements.
