At the Debate State Championship in New Orleans, Jake Crusan and Malcom Morris won first place in policy debate. Also making it to Semifinals were Ethan Courtman and Madelyn Gaharan. Quarter finalists were Alex Johnston, Nathan Jagot, Dain Ross, and Palmer Miley. Congratulations to Coach Neill Normand and the debate team!
Congratulations to the Quiz Bowl team, which won first place at the regional tournament on February 27, at Byrd! Players were Deniz Gungor, Meghana Rao, David Lu, and Laya Tummala. The team will compete at the state tournament in Natchitoches on March 19.
Nine students won at the Regional History Day on March 18. They will compete in April at the State National History Day in New Orleans. The winning students are Mac Anderson, Alyssa Gusman, Emily Hanish, Mary North Jones, Bayla Lanham, Victoria Lowery, David Lu, Kristina Taylor, and Maddie Tinsley.
The Caddo Magnet Orchestra, under the direction of Mrs. Elaine Webb, has won the District Sweepstakes Award again this year with all superior ratings at the District VIII Assessment Festival. The orchestra will attend the State Orchestra Assessment in Natchitoches on April 14th .

Congratulations to the track athletes who competed in the Knight relays! Reese Roberts won silver medals in both the 1600m and 800m. Aniyah Carr won silver in the 100m and bronze in the 200m. Ben Harris won silver in the discus; Dominique Moore won bronze in the 300m hurdles, and Zach O’Rear won bronze in the 3200m.
