►Remember: When you apply to a college, you can apply for scholarships at the various colleges. There is a difference in TOPS Scholarships and University based scholarships. Colleges may have specific scholarships applicable to you. Also: Many scholarships require letters of recommendation from your teacher, counselor or principal. ELKS STUDENT OF THE MONTH SCHOLARSHIP |
Each month a $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding senior boy and senior girl who demonstrate exemplary standards. Students should be well-rounded with leadership, citizenship, service, and scholarship qualities. Students will compete against other high school students in Caddo-Bossier area. See Mrs. Anderson or Mrs. Moore for an application. Applications are accepted each month. |

C.Y.L.A. Catholic Youth Leadership Award Scholarship |
The Knights of Columbus is in search of a Catholic boy and girl senior who should be recognized and rewarded for leadership and achievement in his or her school, parish and community. Award: $250.00 to each boy and girl selected locally who then becomes eligible to be entered in the Area competition and then the State competition for a chance to win $4000.00. Walmart and Cumulus Broadcasting have partnered with SPAR for this year’s Black History Month Essay Contest. Chesapeake Energy Corporation will donate educational prizes to two winners. One prize will go to a SPAR after-school youth and the other to a Caddo Parish school youth. Those who submit an essay for judging must be between 11-17 years of age and must have been officially enrolled in SPAR’s after- school program or a Caddo Parish school before January 4, 2016. The Louisiana Housing Council – NAHRO Scholarship Program may award up to two, one year scholarships to resident head s of household residing in or who otherwise receive direct housing benefits from one of the member agencies of the Council. CHURCH’S CHICKEN SCHOLARS PROGRAM |
Scholarship will be awarded to eligible high school seniors in seventeen states. Must be a graduating high school senior or graduating from a home school program in the US. Plan to enroll part-time or full time for the entire 2015-2016 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college university or vocational-technical school in the US.
