Congratulations to Caddo Magnet Senior William Samuel Davis for receiving a scholarship from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. Davis will use this $500 scholarship when he attends LSU in the fall. He plans to concentrate on nutrition and courses required for the physician assistant program. Davis was chosen to receive this scholarship based on his academic achievement, leadership, and character. At Magnet, he has participated in National Honor Society, Interact Club, Ochsner LSU Hospital “Day with the Docs”, LSU Hospital Summer Program, the Ernest J. Gaines Literary Symposium, Ambassadors, BSA, and more. Sheriffs’ scholarships are made possible by the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Honorary Membership Program (LSHMP), wherein Louisiana sheriffs provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from each participating parish.
