Welcome to our Newest Staff Members

Caddo Magnet High School would like to welcome the following individuals to our amazing faculty and staff!  A brief bio is included for each, along with any pictures that were submitted.  This is going to be another “Caddo Magnet” year!!

Allen, John (Social Studies/Film/Tech Theater)

John Allen will be teaching Civics, Tech Drama, Video Production and Film Production this year.  He comes to Magnet from Logansport HS where he has been teaching middle school for the last four years.  John has lived in Shreveport for 18 years after being brought to Barksdale while serving in the Air Force.  He and his wife Amanda Lawrence (also Magnet faculty) have five children, two of whom are Magnet alumni and two current Magnet students.  John is excited to join the Magnet team and looks forward to an exciting and challenging year.



Bottoms, Michael (Senior Counselor)

Michael Bottoms comes to Magnet after spending the past eleven years as the freshman counselor at Southwood.  He is both a Nationally Certified School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  He is active in the local Caddo School Counselors’ Association, having previously served as president in 2008 and 2013.  In addition to his duties as counselor, Mr. Bottoms has been actively involved in FCA for the past fifteen years. He and his wife Paula (a Magnet alumna) have five children, three of whom will be attending college this fall.  In his spare time he enjoys supporting local 5k events.






Brimage, Kevin (Science)

Kevin Brimage is a native of Louisiana who returned home last year after 22 years in the Dallas area. Born and raised in southern Louisiana, he attended Louisiana Tech University where he earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and a Masters degree in Science Education. He has 18 years of experience teaching at the high school level, with his passion being in the physical sciences. This past May, he celebrated 24 years of marriage to his wife. They have an 18-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, watching movies and playing games. He describes himself as a kid at heart and is a huge Star Wars fan able to quote large portions of the movies to you. He is excited to join the Caddo Magnet team and looks forward to a great year.


Creamer, Ana (Spanish)

Ana Creamer is from the Canary Islands, Spain. The Canary Islands are located in the most southern part of Europe and are located only 60 miles from the coast of Africa. The connection between these islands and Louisiana goes back in time. Check https://www.cislanderus.com/ if  you feel curious enough to learn a little bit about this 😉.

Ana Creamer studied Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). She later got her Teaching Certificate at the University of Salamanca and a Masters in ULPGC as well.  She has been teaching for 17 years now and is passionate when it comes to foreign cultures and languages. For the past 4 years she has taught at Caddo Middle Magnet with the CODOFIL exchange program for teachers. She planned on coming to Louisiana for a couple of years only, but then met her husband, and plans changed. She is happily married now with a baby girl and a dog.

Ana Creamer treasures free time and always tries to make the most of it.  She loves reading, good music, travelling, going for nice long walks and spending time with family and friends.


Keller, Cathryn (Sign Language)

Cathryn Keller is a Shreveport native, and has been teaching for twenty-five years. She obtained her Bachelors of Education from LSU-S in 1994, and returned for graduate work in 2000, obtaining additional certification in Deaf Education. Cathryn is the proud mom of three grown children: Caitlin, Amy, and Michael. They have thus far given her seven amazing grandchildren. She enjoys gardening with her husband Wes, reading, local bands and eateries, and spending time with family and friends.




Kudolis, Steven (Mathematics)

Steven Kudolis, a graduate of LSU-S, is returning to his hometown to be with his family after spending nearly 20 years in the Texas educational system as a math teacher. He is excited to have the opportunity to teach at Caddo Magnet where he will help all his students gain confidence in their mathematical abilities as they progress through the course material. Mr. Kudolis is a firm believer in using technology to enhance the learning experience and would enjoy sharing and working with other teachers who do so as well. In his spare time, he enjoys working with his hands designing and building things, listening to music, keeping a small garden, playing with his yorkie puppy and spending time with his father and son. He is also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and has been since he was a young lad, but he also roots for the Saints.



Parnell, Brandy (Junior Counselor)

Brandy Parnell is from Reno, Nevada and relocated to the Shreveport area with her family last Fall. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in interdisciplinary social science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her Master’s Degree in school counseling from American Military University. Being a military spouse, Brandy has lived in a variety of places, including nine glorious years in Europe, as well as several states across the country. Brandy loves to laugh, travel, cook, watch professional hockey (go Kings!), and attempts to garden, or better said, tries not to kill every plant around her. Brandy has been married to her husband Chris for 17 years and they have one awesome son, Jackson (5), and a slightly grumpy, but ever so lovely, Jack Russell Terrier, Kyla (16).


Rosalies, Drew (Mathematics)

Drew Rosalies joins Magnet from Thornton High School in Thornton, CO. Mr. Rosalies has been teaching in Colorado for the past five years since graduating from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2014. Mr. Rosalies is excited to join the Magnet team and relocate his whole family to the area. His family, consisting of Sarah (wife), Jackson (son), and Stella (daughter), are all excited to be making the move.







Sherwin, Joe (Social Studies)

Joe Sherwin is originally from Haughton, Louisiana.  He begins his tenth year of teaching here at Magnet.  He comes to Magnet with stops at Fair Park High School and Southwood High School.  He is dual-certified in English and in Social Studies. He has spent the last ten years teaching mostly American History, while starting and running History Clubs at both schools.  He was also a softball coach at both schools.  He enjoys traveling across the country, and enjoyed a WWII History Club trip to Europe last year.  He has been married to his wife Amy for just over a year, and they both are first-time parents to a newborn, Sydney, born in April of 2019.
