Two Magnet Students Chosen As Art Contest Finalists

Congratulations to seniors Sloan Hall and Jeffrey Lowe for being selected as finalists in the prestigious George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts Visual Art Contest.  The theme for this year’s contest is The Art of Sound.  Five juniors and ten seniors were selected as finalists.  Both will attend the George Rodrigue Scholarship Awards Luncheon in New Orleans and receive a scholarship ranging from $500 to $6000 as well as other gifts.  In addition, the artwork of all finalists will travel the state for one year for public viewing at various  museums and cultural venues.
