November 3rd Swim Meet Results

On Saturday, Nov 3rd, Caddo had a very long swim competition in Ruston. We competed twice at the Red River High School Conference—preliminaries in the morning and finals in the evening. Our swimmers did very well! The girls placed 2nd this year, the boys tied for 5th, and overall the team placed 3rd behind Ruston and Alexandria. We brought home our first ever 2nd place trophy and multiple ribbons and medals. The main highlight of this competition was Justina Vo—she is the Red River High School Swim Conference Champion in both the 200 IM and the 100 Fly!

Jameson Feeney placed 3rd in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 Breast
Sophie Wiener placed 3rd in the 50 Free and 2nd in the 100 free
Campbell Siskron placed 2nd in the 50 Free
Ruth Bodily placed 3rd in the 500 Free
Garrett Chaisson placed 5th in the 500 Free and 4th in the 100 Breast
Girls 200 Free Relay placed 3rdZoe Walker, Kenna Pettigrew, Elise Macey and Emma Dong
Girls 400 Relay placed 2ndRuth Bodily, Justina Vo, Catherine Rutledge and Sophie Wiener
Emma Dong qualified for state in the 100 Free!

13 team members are going to the LHSAA State Swim ChampionshipsGrace Bodily, Ruth Bodily, Emma Dong, Charlotte Feeney, Catherine Rutledge, Justina Vo, Sophie Wiener, Evelyn Zhang, Nathaniel Bonts, Garrett Chaisson, Jameson Feeney, Timothy Oliver and Campbell Siskron. They will compete November 16th & 17th in Sulphur Louisiana.

Additionally, Timothy Oliver, Ruth Bodily and Catherine Rutledge will be honored at the state competition for being selected as members of the 2018-2019 LHSAA All-Academic Composite Team. This award recognizes senior student-athletes for their academic excellence—six semester unweighted 4.0 GPA.

We had a great time and I am so very proud of all the swimmers for their improvements throughout this season.
