Gymnastics Teams Score Big in the State Meet

Congratulations to CMHS Boys Division II Team, Level 5, for winning the LHSAA State Championship.  We lost the Overall State Championship due to not having any level 10s. Our level 5 boys scored 182.7, Baton Rouge scored 168.1 and St. Amant scored 162.1. Overall, our boys were State Runner-Up!

Cameron Cason won the Division II All-Around with a 62.5. He also placed 1st on Floor, 2nd on Pommel, 1st on Rings, 2nd on Vault, 1st on Parallel bars and 1st on High Bar.

Julian Faust placed 3rd on Floor;

Levi Volcheck placed 2nd on Rings;

Austin Gilbert placed 1st on Vault;

Noah Melvin placed 3rd on P-bars; and

Christian Mitchell placed 2nd on High bar.

In the girls session, we are the State Runner-Up scoring our highest score ever—223.65!  St. Josephs came in to win the title this year, scoring a whopping 227.45. Baton Rouge placed 3rd scoring 219.2, Dutchtown scored 214.55 and Ascension scored 213.05.

Alyssa Hoey placed 4th in the All-Around in Division I, Level 8.
