Governor Edwards’s Letter

Governor Edwards issued a letter yesterday that has created a lot of rumors.  The letter is stating that he is issuing a proclamation to suspend some state laws dealing with education such as state testing, teacher work day requirements, student attendance requirements, school performance scores, etc.  Many of these items are tied into federal laws and will require action at that level, too.  This letter does not state that school has been canceled for the rest of the year.

For now, all Caddo Magnet students are still in school using online platforms with their teachers.  Grades are still being recorded and learning is still taking place as we prepare for the next grade level, college, and life.
