Congratulations to senior Surayya Jones for winning Best Overall for her wild and wonderful, otherworldly collection titled “Protectors of Rainboe.” Surayya also took home the award for People’s Choice at ArtBreak Festival’s Fashion Forward – Student Fashion Show.  

Surayya is a second year Fashion Styling student from Caddo Magnet High School.  Surayya’s collection was inspired by angels, space, and a character of her own invention named Boe.  She utilized some patterns, pattern drafting, some draping, lots of handsewing lights in, and textile creation in her designs.  Next up for Surayya is to attend college for Fashion Merchandising at Louisiana Tech University.  Keep up the good work, Surayya! We can’t wait to see what incredible things you do in the future!
