Congratulations to junior Sophie Chen! Sophie has been accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Science Institute this summer! RSI is the first cost-free to students summer science and engineering program that combines on-campus course work in scientific theory with off-campus work in science and technology research. Sophie is one of 62 US students chosen for this program!

Only 100 students from around the world were chosen to participate in this prestigious program. Participants will experience the entire research cycle from start to finish. Sophie will participate in a week of intensive STEM classes. Then, the heart of RSI is a five week research internship where students conduct individual projects with experienced scientists and researchers as mentors. In the final week of RSI, students prepare written and oral presentations.
