Caddo Magnet Welcomes Three More to the Faculty

Caddo Magnet High School would like to welcome three new members to our faculty for the 2020-2021 school year!

 

Copper, Marke (Science)

Marke Copper, a graduate of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), joins the Magnet family after teaching for 24 years in California and Georgia public school systems. Marke, and her husband, Dale, have two children: Megan and Dale III. She enjoys everything related to making memories with family, working on new projects in her workshop, and reading.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Robinson, Ta (9th & 10th Grade Counselor)

Ta Edwards-Robinson is a Shreveport native.  She attended South Highlands Elementary, Caddo Middle Magnet, Caddo Magnet High School and Centenary College.  She has a Bachelors in Music, Masters +30 in Human Services with a specialization in School Counseling, a certification in Contemporary Theory in Addictive Behavior, and a certification in Contemporary Theory in Couple and Family Systems.  She has traveled all over the world singing with the Centenary College Choir.  Ta is married and has two children.  She has a daughter, who is a Cellular Molecular Biology Major at LSU-S and a son, who is a Music Production Major at Louisiana Tech. Her life motto is “Treat People the Way You Wish to Be Treated” and she truly strives to live by that daily.  Ta enjoys meeting new people and helping others in any way she can.  Her door is always open and she will always be honest or as others say, “tell it like it is”.  Helping students reach their full potential in life so they can be productive citizens is her goal as Caddo Magnet High’s school 9th and 10th grade counselor.  Ta is excited to be back home and eager to work together to make a difference!

 

Whaley, Victoria (Mathematics)

Victoria Whaley was born and raised in Shreveport and graduated from Magnet in 2016. She attends Louisiana State University in Shreveport where she will graduate with a degree in General Studies. In May of 2021, she will enter the Caddo Teaching Academy to become certified in Secondary Math and Science education. In her free time she loves to read, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. When she isn’t teaching Geometry, you can find her teaching dance at Shreveport Dance Academy where she spends most of her spare time! She is thrilled to be back at Magnet and cannot wait to see what the semester has in store for her!
