Ashini Modi to lead virtual STEM sessions for elementary and middle school students

Caddo Magnet junior Ashini Modi, founder of Students to Scientists, is teaming up with Shreve Memorial Library to offer virtual science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) mentoring sessions this fall. These sessions for elementary and middle school students will be held via Zoom (registration required).

A member of the Astronomical League and Shreveport Bossier Astronomical Society, Ashini is an avid astronomer and has been conducting research in the field of astrophysics. “I am extremely excited to conduct Students to Scientists library workshops with youth from our community to mentor them through the scientific method and guide them through the process of creating their very own science project,” stated Modi. Students to Scientists aims  to ensure that every student has the resources and mentorship to study science.
