{"id":996,"date":"2015-03-05T16:43:21","date_gmt":"2015-03-05T22:43:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caddomagnet.net\/?post_type=news&#038;p=996"},"modified":"2026-06-23T12:39:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T17:39:46","slug":"magnet-chosen-for-voa-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caddomagnet.net\/magnet\/magnet-chosen-for-voa-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Magnet chosen for VOA award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Caddo Magnet High School was chosen to receive the Ellen Brown Spirit of Volunteerism Award from the Volunteers of America due to the number of student hours spent tutoring others at The Lighthouse. \u00a0Many Magnet students participated in 2014, and\u00a0the students with the top six number of volunteer hours were invited\u00a0to attend the volunteer appreciation luncheon at East Ridge Country Club.
