Anderson is the high school 2014-2015 Caddo Schools Counselor of the Year, says Joyce Lars. \u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>&#8220;In addition to her many duties, the Mrs Anderson is also a student advocate, community leader, and one who collaborates with teachers, parents and the community to promote the academic success of each and every student.\u00a0<b>High school counselors advise students making academic and career plans.\u00a0 Many help students with personal problems that interfere with their education.\u00a0 Counselors provide information about choosing and applying for colleges or training programs and financial aid or scholarships.\u00a0 They help students develop job search skills, such as writing resumes and interviewing,&#8221; added Lars. <\/b><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b><b>Mrs. Anderson is an alum of Huntington High School, Shreveport, Class of &#8217;77. \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Linda W.
