Sophie has been accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Science Institute this summer! RSI is the first cost-free to students summer science and engineering program that combines on-campus course work in scientific theory with off-campus work in science and technology research. Sophie is one of 62 US students chosen for this program!<\/p>\n<p>Only 100 students from around the world were chosen to participate in this prestigious program. Participants will experience the entire research cycle from start to finish. Sophie will participate in a week of intensive STEM classes. Then, the heart of RSI is a five week research internship where students conduct individual projects with experienced scientists and researchers as mentors.
