In 2019, the International Thespian Society (ITS) is marking the 90th anniversary of its founding.\u00a0 ITS is an honors society that celebrates the power of theatre education to instill confidence, empathy, and compassion to build better communities.<\/p>\n
ITS now counts more than 2.4 million theatre students who have been honored.<\/p>\n
Caddo Magnet’s drama students have been active in ITS for many years traveling yearly to State and National Festivals.\u00a0 For the last 10 years, yearly each of our graduating theatre students average $750,000 in college scholarship offers.<\/p>\n
Our alumni have graduated from The University of Oklahoma, Howard University, Texas Christian University and prestigious conservatories like CAP 21; The Academy of Dramatic Arts in both Los Angeles\u00a0and NYC and The New York Academy of Dramatic Arts, to name a few.<\/p>\n
Some of these alumni have gone on to graduate from Law School (11 and counting) and have successful law careers while others have taken the plunge and are working actors in Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, D. C. and Dallas.<\/p>\n
