Black Studies Association

The purpose of BSA is to promote an interest in, growth of, and appreciation for African-American culture and contributions. The club is open to any CMHS student with an interest.  The main event is an annual formal program at Magnet during Black History Month, highlighting achievements, contributions, and talents of African-Americans.  There is an emphasis on community involvement, with members volunteering various services around the city and parish.  These may include tutoring at Valencia, reading to younger children, etc.
