Governor Edwards was in Shreveport-Bossier to attend the Veterans’ Day Luncheon held by the Shreveport Bar Association. As part of the festivities and welcome from North Louisiana, Mr. Ted Cox asked art teacher Mrs. Shirlene Alexander to have a couple of her students to draw the West Point Military Academy Crest. Jackie Bacud and Kaitlyn Grice were up to the task and did a magnificent job! The Governor was very impressed. Matthew Pinchback gave greetings to the Governor as the gift was presented.
While this was not a Caddo Magnet event, the Mustangs were well represented. Arianne Graves led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. A portion of the Centenary Choir, containing CMHS graduates Hannah Langley, Kaitlyn Rusley, Collin Hughes, Scott Nguyen, sang the Armed Forces Medley.
Col. Moffett, Mr. Ilgenfritz, and Dr. Goree also sat at the Caddo Magnet table.
